ETHICS IN THE WORLD
After briefly examining some influential ethical theories, we consider
how they may be applied to concrete ethical issues of current interest.
Specific topics studied will vary but generally address moral problems
concerning medicine, law, technology, business, the environment, gender,
culture, rights, and social policy. Students will learn effective
strategies for thinking deeply and critically about practical moral
