THE SOCIOLOGY OF WORK
Examines the history of work, inequalities between workers, and how work is structured and carried out from both descriptive and critical perspectives. Focusing on paid and unpaid work, the course also explores how work is a mechanism of social control and a cause of alienation, and how people resist these forces. Prereq: 6h from Soci 1006, 1106, 1013, 1023, 1033, 1113 or equivalent
